Swan Group successfully delivered the refurbishment of the airport concourse, encompassing the areas between and surrounding Gates G56 and G66, as well as the existing Haymarket restaurant precinct.

Walls were clad in a distinctive red natural stone, creating a strong architectural statement, complemented by the installation of a premium, architecturally detailed ceiling system. The scope also incorporated significant electrical upgrades, including new lighting and GPOs, the integration of contemporary furniture, and the installation of advanced audio-visual systems. Accessibility outcomes were enhanced through the inclusion of hearing loop technology to support passengers with hearing impairments. New Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS) were recessed within the ceiling, seamlessly integrated into the overall design to maintain a clean and modern aesthetic.
A key priority throughout construction was maintaining uninterrupted terminal operations. Works were meticulously staged around live flight schedules, with all passenger-impacting activities undertaken during night shifts. The site was fully encapsulated with sealed, floor-to-ceiling hoardings to eliminate dust migration into public areas. This disciplined and carefully managed delivery approach ensured the terminal remained fully operational, with minimal disruption to passengers, while achieving a high-quality architectural outcome.
