Swan was engaged by project managers, BGIS to deliver a staged program of works for BHP at the live and operational BHP OS Learning Centre in Welshpool under mine site safety requirements.

Swan successfully delivered Stages 1, 2, 3 (3A, 3B, 3C & 3D) involving major refurbishment and new build construction. Stages 1-3 of consisted the upgrade of industrial facilities and creation of new training spaces including multiple immersive cinemas, office and student hub fitouts and the construction of male/female/DDA amenity blocks. Stage 3D consisted of the new construction of a Bike Store structure and fitout.
The project included:
- Adherence to BHP inductions and procedures;
- COVID-19 response plan;
- Staged major refurbishment works;
- New build construction works;
- Live and occupied environment;
- Robust finishes throughout;
- Flexibility in programme to suit end-users.
