Halesworth Pavilion

The Halesworth Park Pavilion project involved constructing a 1400m² multi-functional sports amenities building and a separate 100m² storage facility for the local Little Athletics group.

Location: Butler
Designers: Bollig Design Group, BPA Engineering, BCA Consulting, DCA
Size: 1,500m2
Duration: 55 Weeks
The pavilion has sports-focused amenities such as change rooms, toilets, umpire rooms, first aid areas, storage, and two kitchen/kiosks. Multi-use corridors, meeting rooms, and pre-function spaces were created to provide flexibility for community events and gatherings.

The project also required comprehensive service installations, including air conditioning, security systems, CCTV, and AV systems. Additionally, a range of soft and hard landscaping tied the pavilion into its surroundings.

To ensure minimal disruption to park users, the construction was carefully staged to maintain access to the ovals, playgrounds, and parking facilities. Noise control measures were implemented due to the proximity of residential areas and schools. The contractor provided safety fencing, site offices, and limited storage to designated zones to minimise impact on public areas. Throughout construction, the team coordinated with various stakeholders, adhering to strict guidelines for environmental impact, community access, and site safety. Practical completion was achieved as scheduled, delivering a functional, community-oriented facility that supports the City of Wanneroo’s commitment to accessible recreational spaces.
