To accommodate additional facilities and improve functionality, Swan extended the rear of the building. This expansion provided space for a cold room, patron amenities and storage. The cold room was designed to maintain the correct conditions for storing ingredients and finished products, while the storage areas were configured to support both brewing operations and venue service requirements. The extension also allowed for better spatial flow between production and service areas, ensuring brewery staff could efficiently move between brewing operations, storage and customer service spaces. By integrating the new spaces with the original building structure, the project maintained the architectural integrity of the existing industrial aesthetic.
Following enabling works and extensions, Swan completed the interior fitout for both the brewing and public areas. The completed venue includes tasting and dining areas, alfresco seating and the onsite brewery. The design accommodates the operational needs of the brewing process while providing customers with a comfortable environment in which to experience the venue’s products. The fitout addressed both functional and customer-facing aspects. Brewing areas were finished to support cleaning, safety and workflow efficiency, while hospitality areas were fitted out to create an inviting and accessible space for patrons. The alfresco seating was positioned to complement the indoor dining and tasting spaces, expanding the venue’s capacity and offering a variety of seating options. With the brewing systems in place and the interior spaces completed, Seasonal Brewing Co. is now able to produce premium quality craft beer in batches ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 litres. The project delivered a fully integrated microbrewery and hospitality venue within a repurposed industrial building, optimising both its operational capacity and customer experience.
